When confirmed on this matter, the Daily Manager of Higher Affairs (PLH SRM) of General Affairs PLN UID Jakarta Raya M. Arief Mudhari explained that electricity rates did not increase in all classes.

“There are 900 subsidized and two unsubsidized. Rp / kWh are different. But the rates are not rising, they are still according to the IG,” he said when contacted. Kompas.com, Friday (1/5/2020).

Electricity rates have not increased since 2017. Here are the details:

  • Low voltage: IDR 1,467 / kWh
  • R-1/900 VA RTM: Rp. 1,352 / kWh
  • Medium voltage: IDR 1,115 / kWh
  • High voltage: IDR 997 / kWh
