Jakarta –
The Ministry of Transport (Kemenhub) will soon publish a Regulation of the Minister of Transport (Permenhub) on Transport Control during Idul Fitri’s return home period in 2021.
The regulation serves as an additional legal umbrella regarding the ban on returning home that has been announced by the government through PMK Coordinating Minister Muhadjir Effendy. This policy is to prevent an increase in COVID-19 cases.
“We remain consistent in the implementation of the no-return-home policy. Today we are finalizing the Permenhub that we will publish in the near future,” Transport Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said in a written statement on Sunday (4/4 / 2021).
Returning home is prohibited from May 6 to 17, 2021. Before and after that date, people are advised not to move or engage in activities outside of the region, except in urgent and necessary circumstances.
Returning home is prohibited for public servants (PNS), TNI-Polri, BUMN employees, private employees, both formal and informal, as well as other general public.
“So we reiterate that the decision to prohibit the return home this year is final. For this reason, we ask the public not to return home this year so that things do not happen that we do not want, that is, an increase in cases of COVID-19 “. “Added Budi.
