Maluku Polda’s head of public relations, Kombes Pol Muhamad Roem Ohoirat, said that Iptu LT participated in the massive Covid-19 vaccination on March 30, 2021.

Together with other police officers, LT was injected with the AstraZeneca vaccine at the Maluku Regional Police Ceremony Ground in the Tantui area.

Complain of shortness of breath

This condition prompted Iptu LT and his wife to go to the hospital.

When they were checked, the medical staff stated that Iptu LT did not have any disease.

At that time, the officers gave him medication. Iptu LT’s condition improved after taking the drug.

“When it was checked, there was no illness, then the victim was given medication. After that, the victim drank and recovered as usual,” Roem said.

However, about five days later, Iptu LT complained of shortness of breath.

Found limp on the couch, apparently dead

Five days after being vaccinated, on Sunday morning (3/4/2021), LT was found weak on the couch.

After being transferred to the hospital, it turned out that LT had passed away.

According to his wife’s explanation, LT had difficulty breathing.

“In fact, last night he had trouble breathing at 12 o’clock and this morning his wife saw that her husband was lying on the couch, then they took him to the hospital, he was dead,” he said.

The body was discarded, positive for Covid-19

After his death, officers performed a swab test on Iptu LT’s corpse.

“The deceased turned out to be positive for Covid-19, the examination (swab) was carried out before after the death of the victim and the results were positive,” said Roem. Kompas.com, Sunday (4/4/2021) afternoon.

However, Roem does not know where he got the LT virus from.

Roem previously emphasized that LT’s death was not due to vaccines.

“What is clear is that we cannot say that this is due to vaccines,” he said.
