“As of 06.55 WIB, 15 survivors who had been evacuated by the pioneer MV Habcoo have been transferred to KN SAR Wisnu Jakarta,” Seni told CNNIndonesia.com, Sunday (4/4).
SAR elements, namely Kansar Bandung, Kansar Jakarta, Lanal Cirebon, UPP Indramayu, Satpolair Polres Cirebon and HNSI Indramayu participated in this search and rescue operation.
The tools used were KN SAR Wisnu, RIB 09 Bandung, KM Baru Ragem, 1 unit of truck personnel, 1 unit of double cab rescue car and 1 unit of rescue.
Meanwhile, for 17 people suspected of missing, the joint SAR team is still conducting searches.
“If the victim is found, the victim will be evacuated using KN SAR Wisnu,” he said in a written statement.
Seni explains that this search and rescue operation has been carried out since Saturday (3/4) night. That day was the second day of the accident management operation.
It is known that there was a collision between two ships in the waters of Indramayu, West Java, on Saturday (3/4) evening. Based on information from the head of VTS Cirebon, the accident occurred in Indramayu waters, precisely at coordinates 5 ° 37’35.00 “S 108 ° 17’18.00” E.
The two vessels that collided were the fishing vessel MV Barokah Jaya and the pioneer MV Habco. As a result of the incident, the Barokah Jaya ship capsized.
KN SAR Wisnu left the Inggom Tanjung Priok pier in North Jakarta on Saturday at 21:24 WIB to carry out an evacuation. It is estimated that KN SAR Wisnu will reach the site of the collision between Habco Pioneer and Barokah Jaya in about 8 hours.
