IR Covid-19 death rate returns high, 427 people in one day

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The number of Covid-19 patients in Indonesia who died increased by 427 people from Saturday (3/4/2021) to Sunday (4/4/2021) at 12.00 WIB.

With these additions, the total number of Covid-19 patients who died has reached 41,669 people.

This is the second highest number of deaths due to Covid-19.

Previously, the highest number of deaths was recorded in 476 patients in one day, according to data from January 28, 2020.

This figure was obtained from data released by the Covid-19 Manipulation Task Force on Sunday afternoon.

In the same period, the number of positive Covid-19 cases in Indonesia increased by 6,731 in the last 24 hours.

Thus, the number of positive Covid-19 cases in Indonesia has reached 1,534,255 since the announcement of the inaugural case on March 2, 2020.

Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 patients who recovered in the last 24 hours increased by 9,663, bringing the total to 1,375,877.

The number of active Covid-19 cases in Indonesia currently stands at 116,709 people. Active cases are patients who tested positive for Covid-19 and are currently in treatment.

In addition, there are 62,290 people who are currently under suspicion.
