The KPK named West Bandung Regent Aa Umbara Sutisna as a suspect of corruption in the acquisition of COVID-19 welfare assets (Bansos). Aa Umbara became a suspect along with two other people.
If you look at the LHKPN (State Organizer Wealth Report) data on the KPK (Corruption Eradication Commission) official website that was reported in 2019, Aa Umbara has a total wealth of IDR 21,737,162,646.
Of the total assets, IDR 20,805,000,000 correspond to land and buildings, IDR 230,000,000 other movable assets and IDR 419,562,646 for assets in the form of cash and cash equivalents.
Meanwhile, assets included in the transport machinery and equipment category are valued at IDR 452,000,000. Aa Umbara is recorded to have a Honda Scoopy (2016) with an estimated price of IDR 9 million, Yamaha X-Ride (2016) IDR 11 million, Honda CBR (2015) IDR 17.5 million, Honda Beat Pop (2016) IDR 9 million, Kia Picanto (2013) IDR 100 million, Daihatsu Terios (2010) IDR 115 million and Toyota Sienta (2017) with an estimated price of IDR 190,500,000.
As previously reported, the KPK named Aa Umbara along with Totoh Gunawan and Andri Wibawa as suspects in alleged bribery related to the acquisition of emergency response assets for the COVID-19 pandemic. Aa Umbara is suspected of taking bribes of around 1 billion rupees.
From this acquisition, Totoh Gunawan is believed to have made a profit of around Rs 2 billion. Meanwhile, Andri Wibawa is also suspected of making a profit of Rs 2.7 billion.
West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil admitted that he was saddened and concerned about the case. “One, I am sad and concerned because a few weeks ago I remembered that there was a KPK event at KBB (West Bandung Regency) in Mason Pine. I have been reminded of practices to avoid that intersect with conflicts of interest,” said Kang Emil – Ridwan’s words. – at Nara Park, Jalan Rancabentang, Bandung City, on Friday (2/4/2021).
