KOMPAS.com – Police revealed the alleged cause of the accident that killed 4 people on the Pati-Kudus Pantura line in Bumirejo village, Margorejo district, Pati, Central Java, on Friday night (2/4/2021).

According to the police, the Avanza car with police number W 1747 TX was driving from west to east. The Avanza driver then allegedly passed by the left side of the vehicle in front of him.

As the door slammed about to return to the track, the Avanza entered the opposite lane.

“Well at that time the tanker was driving from the front and an accident was unavoidable,” said Pati AKP Maulana Police Traffic Center Chief when contacted by Kompas.com via phone on Saturday (3/4 / 2021).

For this incident, Maulana appealed to road users to be careful, especially when overtaking.

“Do not overtake on the left, because the difference between the height of the shoulder and the road has the risk of causing this type of accident. Safety takes precedence over speed,” he said.

The identity of the victim

Maulana added that all the victims were Avanza passengers and drivers.

According to the identities found, all the victims were residents of East Java, that is, of Sidoarjo and Pasuruan.

“One of the victims has the KTA security guard’s PT shelter in East Java. I have contacted the company,” Maulana was quoted as saying. Compass tv.
