Jokowi sends money to the wife of a suspected terrorist in Sukabumi who is struggling to pay off bank debts.

SUKABUMI, KOMPAS.com – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) provided assistance to S (25), the wife of a suspected terrorist through Sukabumi Police Chief, AKBP Lukman Syarif, on Saturday (3/4/2021).

President Jokowi’s assistance was delivered directly to S at his rented house in Limbangan Village, Cibodas Village, Bojonggenteng District.

Sukabumi AKBP Police Chief Lukman Syarif explained that the provision of this assistance began with online media coverage of S.

After her husband was recently arrested for Densus 88 Anti-terror, S had to bear the burden of living as a child who was still a baby and was paying bank fees.

“This online media story was read directly by President Jokowi,” Lukman explained in a written statement received by Kompas.com on Saturday.

He said that in the delivery of the aid, the Sukabumi Police gained trust through the presidential staff to hand over the mandate in the form of compensation to S.

“This is purely for help and has no other purpose,” Lukman said.

Lukman said, S when he got help from President Jokowi he looked happy because his complaint was heard by the president.

“The suspect’s wife looks happy. President Jokowi immediately responds to his complaint so that the burden on the family is greatly reduced,” Lukman said.

Sukabumi Police Public Relations Officer Ipda Aah Saepul Rohman said the assistance provided was in cash.

“This mandate or assistance consists of compensation to the wife of a suspected terrorist in cash. The assistance provided by the Sukabumi Police through the Chief of Police of the presidential staff is merely an aid and has no other purpose,” he said. as quoted by Antara. Tribunnews.

BS’s wife, S (25), confided after her husband’s arrest. Because now she has to fight alone to care for and support her 3-month-old baby. BS and S have only been married for 1.5 years.

Furthermore, S’s husband is known to have quotas in the bank.

“I am looking for work because I have a debt with the bank. If my husband does not work, who pays?” he said.
