Lukman’s letter circulated on social media after he and his wife carried out a suicide bombing in front of Makassar Cathedral at 10:28 a.m. WITA on Sunday (3/28). Police confirmed that the circulating will belonged to the perpetrator.
“Yes (the will circulating on social media really belongs to Lukman),” South Sulawesi Regional Police Chief of Public Relations Kombes E Zulpan said when asked for confirmation. detikcom, Tuesday (3/30/2021).
According to Zulpan, the police obtained the will during the raid on Lukman’s rented house and Ms. Lukman’s house at Jalan Tinumbu Lorong 132, Kelurahan Bunga Ejaya, Bontoala District, Makassar, on Monday (3/29).
In the circulating will, Lukman specifically apologized to his mother. He says he has chosen to be a bomber.

In addition, Lukman advised his mother to avoid usury, not to borrow money from the bank. Also, Lukman admitted that he left some money for his mother.
Lukman also instructed several of his brothers to forgive Lukman’s mistakes. He also asked his brothers to take care of the mother and not to be lazy in prayer.
Lukman’s will has a similar pattern to the letter left by the attacker at the National Police Headquarters, Zakia Aini.
