TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The politician Jhoni Allen and his lawyers will present protests and complaints against the panel of judges who are handling his demand for removal from the Democratic Party.
“Pak Jhoni Allen together with his lawyer will file a protest and complaint against the attitude of the panel of judges who insisted on examining a lawsuit against the law using a dispute litigation mechanism between parties,” said Jhoni Allen’s lawyer, Slamet Hasan, a Tempo, Thursday March 25, 2021.
Slamet said that the presentation of the protest would take place on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 09.00 WIB. Jhoni Allen will file the complaint with the Chief Justice of the Jakarta Central District Court and write to the Supreme Court Oversight Agency and the Judicial Commission.
Earlier, in the trial of Jhoni Allen’s lawsuit against Democratic Party Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), the panel of judges said the lawsuit was part of a dispute between political parties.
Meanwhile, Jhoni Allen still maintains that the lawsuit is a public civil case against the law. Despite the debate, the panel of judges continued to read the content of the petitum of Jhoni Allen’s lawsuit.
Jhoni Allen sued AHY for his removal from the Democratic Party. In addition to AHY, Jhoni also sued the Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Teuku Riefky Harsya, and the Chairman of the Honorary Council of the Democratic Party DPP Hinca Panjaitan, before the Central District Court of Jakarta on March 2.
