Persija Jakarta highlighted PSM Makassar’s tough game. This tactic managed to break the concentration of the Kemayoran Tiger Team until they lost.

Persija started his career in Group B of the Menpora Cup 2021 with poor results. Playing at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang Regency, on Monday (3/22/2021), the Kemayoran Tigers had to go 0-2.

PSM broke Persija’s goal before the break. Receiving the hook from Yakob Sayuri, Patrich Wanggai controlled the ball in front of the penalty area and then fired a horizontal shot that lodged in the left corner of Andritany Ardhiyasa’s goal.

Juku Eja extended the score in the 67th minute. Yakob Sayuri managed to outwit Andritany before throwing the ball into Persija’s goal.

Persija Jakarta’s coach Sudirman revealed the reason his team lost. He considered that PSM plays hard to affect the mentality of the players.

“It makes the players a little frustrated, it shouldn’t happen,” Sudirman told a virtual press conference after the game on Monday night (3/22/2021) WIB.

“So the players don’t dare to control the ball, they lose it quickly. That’s a big problem for us. PSM’s game is a bit difficult,” said the former Indonesian midfielder.
