PYONGYANG, KOMPAS.TV – North Korean leader Kim Jong-un reportedly became angry and cut off diplomatic ties with Malaysia.

Malaysia’s decision to extradite a North Korean man accused of money laundering to the United States (US) was cited as the reason.

North Korea described Malaysia’s move as a major hostile act.

“Regarding the emergency situation that has occurred, the DPRK Foreign Ministry announces the severing of diplomatic relations with Malaysia,” the report says. KCNA, quoted from Bloomberg.

The North Korean Foreign Ministry also accused Malaysia of giving in to US pressure.

“Malaysia will be fully responsible for all consequences arising between the two countries,” he continued.
