“Yesterday was a really bad day for him and this is what he did,” Cherokee County Sheriff’s Capt. Jay Baker said, a comment that drew criticism for disparaging the Tuesday night massacre.

Investigators said they did not yet know whether the attacks on three massage parlors in metro Atlanta, which took place amid a wave of violence against Asians, could be classified as hate crimes.
But they said the suspect, Robert Aaron Long, denied the tantrums were racially motivated.
The 21-year-old, who appears to show a love for guns and God on his Instagram account, was captured on video Tuesday night at various spas where six Asian women and two other victims were ambushed and shot to death.
