Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Balatasutak Hakekok Flow became a conversation after dozens of members were arrested by the Pandeglang Police, last Thursday (3/11).
A total of 16 members of the Hakekok sect were arrested while performing a ritual in the form of bathing naked together in a swamp, Karang Bolong Village, Cigeulis District, Pandeglang.
This flow is known to be led by a person with the initials A (52) who is a resident of Cimanggu District, Pandeglang Regency, Banten.
According to information from a resident with the initials MS, bathing together in the swamp is in fact a group ritual.
The ritual, he continued, had been performed by S, whose note was that A’s parents had passed away. S was also known to residents as a spiritual teacher in the Bogor area.
Pandeglang Police are still investigating this case. Authorities also searched A’s home and found various pieces of evidence. From charms, relics, books to condoms.
“Based on the results of the TKP prosecution at the residence in question, we collected various pieces of evidence such as books, relics, amulets and contraceptives,” Pandeglang AKBP Police Chief Hamam Wahyudi said at the prosecutor’s office in Pandeglang (12/3).
Based on the results of the interim investigation, A used the relic talisman as his authority and influenced its members to obey his every wish.
“As a matter of concern, he is used as president, he has more skills, so he can influence his supporters,” Haman said.
Furthermore, Haman said that the rituals performed by the Hakekok Balatasutak sect were not justified in religious teachings.
Therefore, Haman said, all members of the sect would later be led by religious leaders in the Pandeglang regency.
“After the decision of the MUI Pandeglang fatwa, we will provide them with guidance. After the results of the training, we will return it if they have returned to the right path,” he said.
In 2009, the Hakekok Balatasutak stream also caused a stir in the community of Pandeglang, Banten.
They are known to have a hermitage in Sekon Village, Cimanuk district, which has been in existence for five years. On average, students come from West Java, DKI Jakarta, and Banten.
At that time, the members of this group often interacted with their students with the promise of magical powers. Annoyed by the actions of this sect, the residents burned the Hakekok Balatasutak hermitage.
In that incident, the police at the time also helped secure S as the leader of the sect. At the time, S claimed to be making a hidden marriage and performing worship together with his female students.
