Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Key Member Energy Presidential Personnel Office (KSP), Ali Mochtar Ngabalin Speed President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) does not need to take action against the Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko involved in the alleged coup Democratic party.

Ngabalin realized that the “democratic coup” attracted public attention because it involved Palace officials. However, according to him, Jokowi does not need to intervene to deal with this problem.

“There is nothing to take action against,” Ngabalin said when contacted. CNNIndonesia.com, Monday (3/8).

Ngabalin admitted that the public has the right to question this incident. According to Ngabalin, there is nothing wrong with the public criticizing Moeldoko’s involvement.

However, he felt that the public could not ask Moeldoko to be removed from his post at the KSP. Ngabalin believes that Moeldoko’s position as head of the KSP is Jokowi’s prerogative as president.

“We know that it is he who appointed and removed the presidential aide himself, no one can do that, right,” Ngabalin said.

Previously, Moeldoko was appointed chairman of the Democratic Party version of the Extraordinary Congress (KLB) in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. The congress was held by several Democratic cadres who were dissatisfied with the leadership of Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).

Moeldoko was present at the Extraordinary Congress of the Democratic Party (KLB) site at The Hill Hotel Sibolangit, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, on Friday (3/5/2021). Various parties criticized Moeldoko’s involvement. PKS DPP Chairman Mardani Ali Sera said Jokowi had to intervene because Moeldoko was seen as destroying democracy.

“Pak Moeldoko’s action damages democracy in Indonesia and has the potential to damage the democratic atmosphere in Indonesia. This is a bad example for the public,” Mardani said in a short message to CNNIndonesia.com, Monday (3/8).

Meanwhile, late last week, presidential spokesman Fadjroel Rachman was reluctant to respond to allegations about the palace’s role in the Democratic Party outbreak, especially when it was linked to Moeldoko. He asked reporters to ask Moeldoko directly about this.

He was also reluctant to comment on Jokowi’s response to the KLB Democrat.

“In the meantime, ask Pak Moeldoko, we have not received any information on this matter,” said Fadjroel.
