Hundreds of staff police was deployed to secure the building of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights on Monday (8/3).
This security was related to the arrival of two Democratic Party camps, namely, the camp of Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) and the Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Moeldoko.
South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Azis Andriansyah said these personnel were deployed to ensure that the security situation there remained conducive.
“We have deployed 3 companies. This is to maintain security and order, so that there are no clashes between the main camps in that direction,” Azis told reporters on Monday (3/8).
Azis appealed to the parties that came to adhere to the health protocol rules amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Additionally, Azis also said that only representatives were allowed into the building.
“We have communicated with Kumham here, so that only a few people who have been elected can represent the votes, others are outside so there are no people,” he said.
The chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) had arrived at the Kemenkumham building earlier.
To reporters, AHY said his party’s arrival was to present a letter of rejection from the KLB Democrats in Deli Serdang to the Minister of Law and Human Rights, Yasonna H. Laoly.
At the KLB, it was discovered that the Presidential Chief of Staff, Moeldoko, was appointed President General. Then Marzuki Alie as chairman of the supervisory board and Jhoni Allen Marbun became general secretary.
I attended today with the good intention of delivering an official letter to the Minister of Law and Human Rights and of course to the ranks of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, to oppose the Ministry of Law and Human Rights reject and of course declare .. . on March 5 KLB in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, as an illegal, unconstitutional activity, “AHY said in the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Jakarta, on Monday (8/3).
AHY also reiterated that the KLB Democrat elected Moeldoko as an illegal and unconstitutional president. He said the activity was not based on the provisions of the Democratic AD / ART, such as failing to meet the quorum and neglecting the approval of the party’s upper house president.
