Steven Gerrard managed to lead Rangers to win the 2020/2021 Scottish League. This is the first league title for The Gers in 10 years.
The Rangers were confirmed to be champions after their closest competitor, Celtic, went 0-0 at Dundee United’s headquarters, Tennadice Park, on Sunday (3/7/2021). Gerrard’s team currently has 88 points after the previous day’s 3-0 win over St Mirren.
Celtic, who won 68 points, could not reach them. Although, the Scottish League still has six more games left.
The Rangers returned to the champions after a 10-year fasting title in the Scottish League. The last time they lifted the trophy was in the 2010/2011 season when they were coached by Walter Smith.
Rangers fans immediately flocked to their headquarters at Ibrox Stadium to celebrate this title. They lit flares and shouted chants.
