The Indonesian national team coach Shin Tae-yong has started to be satisfied with the appearance of his adopted children. Following the 3-1 victory over Bali United.
The Indonesian under-23 team won solidly by beating Bali United at Madya Stadium, Jakarta, on Sunday (3/7/2021). The winning goals for Garuda’s troops were scored by Kushedya Hari Yudo, Koko Ari and Osvaldo Haay. While the only goal from the opponent was made by Lerby Eliandry.
This is the second victory for the Indonesian team in a test match. Previously, the Indonesian national team also recorded a 2-0 win over Tira Persikabo.
After the match, Shin Tae-yong admitted that he was not very satisfied with the appearance of Rizki Ridho cs in the first match. But now, Shin Tae-yong is quite happy because the U-23 national team’s game is improving.
“Today’s match is better than yesterday, in terms of the game it is also better. Because there are matches, we can be better than before,” Shin Tae-yong said in giving a press release after the match.
In this match, Shin Tae-yong again implemented a 4-4-2 formation. This standard has been used by the South Korean coach when he coached the Indonesian U19 team.
However, Shin Tae-yong did not rule out the possibility of using another formation. It opened opportunities to experiment with the application of other formations.
“I’ve talked to the players that we want to use 4-4-2, that’s what we prioritize. But there will be 4-3-3 or 3-5-2 options,” he continued.
“But at this time we have not adapted (to use another formation). We will continue to use a 4-4-2 formation for now,” Shin Tae-yong added.
