JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Former Secretary General of the Democratic Party Marzuki Alie will attend the Extraordinary Congress (KLB) to be held from Thursday (3/4/2021) to Saturday (3/6/2021).
He admitted that he had received an invitation to attend the KLB Democratic Party that was held in North Sumatra. However, he did not specify the location of the congress.
“I just received an invitation this afternoon to attend the KLB. Since I was fired, of course I have to attend,” said Marzuki, when contacted. Kompas.com, Thursday.

Marzuki said that when the KLB fulfilled the conditions, he asked for his membership to be reinstated.
The former DPR president was fired because he was deemed to have violated the party’s ethics.
“If this KLB qualifies, then I will ask to restore my membership,” he said.
Earlier, the head of the Democratic Party’s Election Winning Agency (Bappilu), Andi Arief, revealed the news about the KLB, which was started by various former cadres and various parties.

Andi said the Democratic Party investigation team visited a hotel in North Sumatra.
From the findings, the team obtained several names who would assist the KLB, including Chief of the Presidential Personnel Office (KSP) Moeldoko, Marzuki Alie, and Jhoni Allen.
“After checking, we asked who the out-of-town guests were. Then we found various names like Jhoni Allen, Nazaruddin, Marzuki Alie, Moeldoko, Darmizal, Ahmad Yahya, Max Sopacua, etc.,” Andi said on his Twitter account. . @Andiarief_.

As for Marzuki, Alie and six Democratic cadres have been dishonorably fired by the Democratic Party. They are considered to be involved in efforts to assume leadership of the party.
The head of the Strategic Communications Board of the Democratic Party DPP, Herzaky Mahendra Putra, said that Marzuki Alie was shown to have violated the party’s ethics.
Marzuki was found guilty of misconduct with his public actions and speeches in the media about hatred and hostility towards the Democratic Party.
