jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The attempt to convict President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has attracted public attention.
One of them is the vice president of the DPP Advisory Council, Hanura Inas Nasrullah Zubir.
Inas said that efforts to convict the Head of State by the Anti-Injustice Communities Coalition regarding the crowds at NTT could jeopardize President Jokowi’s safety.
“Reporting Jokowi to the police could endanger the president’s safety,” Inas said in a statement received by JPNN.com on Thursday (2/25) evening.
In response to the statement, Indriyanto University of Indonesia Criminal Law Professor Seno Adji said the report does not endanger President Jokowi at all.
“The report does not endanger RI 1 at all,” Indriyanto said when contacted by JPNN.com on Friday (2/26).
According to him, the crowds of Jokowi’s visit to NTT shouldn’t be a problem. Because this incident had absolutely no illicit character.
“Actually, you don’t need to polarize it. Because President Jokowi did not create a stigma against breaking the law,” Indriyanto said.
