Customers’ money in savings runs out, this is the BRI promise

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Aris, a customer of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, who came from Bojonegoro, East Java, admitted that he had lost 12.5 million rupees on his savings.

Aris learned of the incident when he was about to check his account balance on Monday (2/22/2021). He was surprised that he only had Rs 500,000 left. After the current account mutations, there were 5 withdrawals that occurred without being noticed.

In response to this, BRI Surabaya regional leader Triswahju Herlina said that the company will immediately resolve customer complaints, especially if the customer is a victim of crime.

“If it is proven that the client is a victim of a crime brushing, BRI will immediately resolve customer complaints, “Triswahju Herlina told Kompas.com on Wednesday (2/24/2021).

BRI is currently still conducting related party investigations regarding the incident. According to BRI Bojonegoro Branch Deputy Operations Manager, Lusujiana, the investigation will involve PT Swadharma Sarana Informatika (SSI).

Triswahju also asked other customers to be careful when banking. Prudence can be exercised by safeguarding personal bank details.

“Maintain the confidentiality of customer data, such as savings account numbers, card numbers, credit card CVV numbers, OTP transaction numbers, etc. for any party, including BRI,” he concluded.

It was previously reported that Aris lost an account balance of 12.5 million rupees. After being seen, there were 5 withdrawals worth IDR 2.5 million each.

Four withdrawal transactions were made around 11.00-15.00 WIB, with one more withdrawal being made the morning before he left to report to the BRI office on Tuesday.

It seems that in addition to Aris, there are four clients who have experienced the same.
