KOMPAS.com – Praka MS, an unscrupulous member of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) in the Pattimura XVI Military Command, threatened to be fired after allegedly selling ammunition to an armed criminal group (KKB) in Papua.
Praka MS was arrested and named a suspect for being involved in the sale of 600 rounds of ammunition to civilians.

1. Taken during target practice.
The commander of the Military Police Detachment (Kapomdam) of the Pattimura XVI Military Command, Col. Cpm Paul Jhohanes Pelupessy, said the suspect obtained hundreds of ammunition during shooting training.
The way is that every time he participates in target practice, the suspect often hides the ammunition that is handed to him.

The ammunition was then recovered the next day after the firing drills ended.
“How do you use 600 ammunition for a soldier? So, during shooting training, he tried to collect the ammunition. The suspect’s trick was during target practice when he left after getting ammunition and then took it and hid it, then after training the next morning he went back to look for the ammunition he was hiding, “he added.
2. He claimed that he works alone
According to the suspect’s confession, Praka MS did not involve other members. However, Praka MS allegedly sold hundreds of ammunition to civilians with the initials AT. Additionally, AT later resold the ammunition to J.
The two civilians have been detained by the Ambon Island Police and named suspects.

“After we carried out an investigation, so far, the person concerned has admitted to collecting ammunition only without involving his other colleagues,” he said.
Currently, Praka MS has been detained and examined by Denpom XVI Pattimura.
3. Confession J sold to KKB
From J’s confession, he sold the ammunition to KKB. However, TNI and Polri are still investigating all evidence and statements from the suspects regarding the 400 bullets they sold, and it is still under investigation.
Paul admitted that it was not easy for him to believe the suspect’s confession. Therefore, your party still continues to develop if there are fellow actors involved.

4. Threatened with being fired
Meanwhile, Paul stressed that Praka MS, if proven, would be punished with dismissal.
“If a TNI member sells ammunition or firearms for any purpose or purpose, initially it was not for OPM or whatever, but by selling ammunition the punishment is dismissal,” said Paul in the Ambon Island Police Office, on Tuesday (2/23/2021).
