jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The South Jakarta District Court (PN) held a new trial on Tuesday (2/23) in the hate speech case involving the defendant Sugi Nur Raharja alias Gus Nur.
The trial this time was with the agenda of hearing testimony of witnesses of the Public Ministry (JPU).
During the trial, the prosecutor presented factual witnesses to the Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas or Gus Yaqut and the Chairman of the Executive Board of Nadhatul Ulama (PBNU), KH. Aqil Siradj said in accordance with the orders of the presiding panel of judges, Toto Ridarto.
However, the two witnesses were once again absent from the courtroom.
Walakin, the prosecutor finally introduced a Forensic Linguistics expert from the Indonesian University of Education, Andika Dutha Bachari.
In the courtroom, Andika explained the purpose of Gus Nur’s statement.
According to the expert, Gus Nur’s goal is to upload a video statement about Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) on his personal YouTube account in order to increase his followers (subscribers) and viewers (viewers).
In addition, he continued, today the activity of uploading videos to YouTube has a business orientation.
