Manchester United have returned to the path of success in the Premier League. The Red Devils did it after beating Newcastle United 3-1.
Compete at Old Trafford on Monday morning (2/22/2021). WIB, MU struggled to take shots despite dominating possession. The Red Handlebars in that position were further threatened when Newcastle attacked.
MU ultimately managed to stand out first through Marcus Rashford when the game went on for half an hour. However, Newcastle only needed six minutes to draw 1-1 through Allan Saint-Maximin.

MU has now moved up to second place in the Premier League standings with 49 points, winning third on goal difference from Leicester City in third place. Both teams are 10 points behind Manchester City at the top of the standings.
Newcastle is one notch above the relegation zone or, to be precise, in 17th position with 25 points. Newcastle are just three points ahead of Fulham in 18th place.
Player lineups
Newcastle was able to threaten in the third minute through Joelinton. He managed to open a shot from outside the penalty area, but David De Gea was still alert to stop the ball.
Jonjo Shelvey’s turn to spread threats to MU’s defense. The former player fired a shot from outside the area, which went just wide of the goal.

The Red Devils managed to get ahead in the 57th minute. James was in the right position to finish off a Nemanja Matic ball that hit Bruno Fernandes lightly. Score 2-1 for MU.
Newcastle tried their luck from outside the area with a shot from Ryan Fraser in the 67th minute. The shot was still blocked by De Gea.
Man United received a penalty in the 75th minute after Joseph Willock fouled Rashford. Bruno Fernandes advanced as executor and managed to beat Darlow to change the score to 3-1.
Newcastle came close to scoring an own goal in the 82nd minute. James’ kick, which came around the corner after hitting the Newcastle player, narrowed widely on the side of the goal.
There are no additional objectives until the game is complete. MU is entitled to three points for a 3-1 victory.
