Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Jokowi (Jokowi) officially unveiled the membership structure of the Investment Management Board (LP) Supervisory Board and the Board of Directors in the courtyard of the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta.

The Indonesian Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF) was formed with an initial capital of Rs 75 trillion, of which Rs 30 trillion came from the state budget, while the rest was realized through inbring actions.

“Of course, we will look carefully to make sure that the project can really bring something good for us and also for our co-investors,” Ridha said at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, on Tuesday (2/16/2021).

Ridha did not specify which projects will be offered. However, he said, there are many promising infrastructure projects in Indonesia, one of which is toll roads.

“Why a toll road? Because this toll road has a huge multiplier effect. But even that toll road, we must see and cooperate with the owners of the toll roads, be it Waskita, Hutama, Wika, Jasa Marga “he explained.

“We want to cooperate with this BUMN if there are investors who come in, the investors will include capital, they will become owners. The same as Waskita Karya at the beginning, ”he explained.

Ridha emphasized that the formation of the LPI was not only used to raise capital. But it is also a means to improve the quality of infrastructure in the country.

“With money from abroad, investment in toll road development will be faster, better and more optimal. And the value added is faster for the Indonesian people. So double is in the details,” Ridha said.

Ridha emphasized that toll roads are not the only option. The former banker said there are a number of infrastructure projects that are also being analyzed, such as airports, ports and infrastructure in other service sectors.

“What I’m saying is that the infrastructure sector is the first to look. That’s a lot, although I can’t say which one. In our pipeline there are many,” he said.

“The toll roads that we will run first, the rest, whether airports, ports or other infrastructure, are already listed, but we are not ready to disclose because we will be accurate,” he said.
