jpnn.com, JAKARTA – DPD RI Vice President Sultan B Najamudin responded to media reports about the dismissal of an honorary teacher, Hervina, at Bone Regency, South Sulawesi.

The dismissal was allegedly due to Hervina raising the amount of the salary to the social networks Facebook.

“I am very concerned if the news about the firing of honorary teachers at Public Elementary School 169 in Sadar, Tellu Limpie District, Bone, South Sulawesi is true because he was fired for uploading details of his salary (from BOS funds ) on a piece of paper for Rp. 4 months, “the sultan said in a written speech received on Friday (12/2/2021).

The Sultan also claimed that he supported the steps of Commission IV DPRD Bone to trace the truth on this issue.

“I think the Regent of Bone will be prudent in taking action in this case,” added the young senator from Bengkulu province.

According to the Sultan, the well-being of honorary professors has always been an issue that has arisen and it has always been an aspiring speech so far.

With regard to the issue of honorary teachers, the Government through Permendikbud Number 19 of 2020 in relation to the Amendments to Permendikbud Number 8 of 2020 on the regular BOS Technical Guidelines explaining the flexibility of use of BOS funds is the government’s first step to improve the welfare of honorary teachers in public and private schools.

“Even though government regulation has failed to satisfy many parties regarding the welfare problems of honorary teachers, I continue to thank the government through the Ministry of Education, which in this Permendikbud gives freedom to use the funds from the BOS for honorary salaries. Furthermore, currently BOS funds have also been received by private schools, “he added.
