Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Investigators of the Commission for the Eradication of Corruption (KPK) Baswedan novel consider reporting yourself to Bareskrim Polri related to the tweet about the death of Soni Eranata aka Maaher At-Thuwailibi as something insignificant.
“I’m not used to responding to strange and insignificant things,” Novel said. CNNIndonesia.com, Thursday (11/2).

“Also, this is a case of humiliation. What sense of humanity is not disturbed? It is sad,” he said.
Meanwhile, the head of the KPK Employees Council, Yudi Purnomo Harahap, lamented the report against the KPK principal investigator. Yudi said Novel was unaffected by the report and continued to work on corruption cases.
“Bang Novel himself was not affected by the report. Previously, he was still working to lead his task force to uncover the corruption cases they were handling,” Yudi told CNNIndonesia.com.
Previously, the Student Youth and Community Protection Partners (PPMK) reported Novel Baswedan to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police about his statement on the death of Soni Eranata aka Maaher At-Thuwailibi.
PPMK DPP Vice President Joko Priyoski accused Novel of spreading false news or hoaxes related to Maaher’s death. According to him, Novel also has no authority to comment on other law enforcement agencies.
The screeching in question was Novel’s attitude of questioning why the police had kept Maaher in custody, despite the fact that he had complained of illness while in the Bareskrim detention center. According to him, law enforcement officers should not go too far.
“Innalillahi Wainnailaihi Rojiun. Ustadz Maaher died in the police detention center. Even though the case was humiliation, detained, then sick. People are sick, why are they forced to be detained? Authorities do not go too far. Especially with Ustadz. This is not trivial, “tweeted Novel @nazaqistsha., Tuesday (2/9).
Inspector General Argo Yuwono, Chief of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, stated that Maaher was in good health when he first entered the detention center. Maaher only complained of illness after serving detention. He has also received medical treatment at the Police Hospital.
However, Argo stated that he could not reveal the history of Maaher’s illness. According to him, Maaher’s illness was sensitive.
