JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, stated that the police did not deliberately reveal the illness of the late Soni Eranata or Maaher At-Thuwailibi to the public for fear of tarnishing the good name of the family .

“The question is why did Soni Eranata die? This is because of the illness of her death. I cannot convey what the pain was because this pain was sensitive. This could be related to the good name of the deceased,” Argo was quoted as saying by Tribunnews.com, Tuesday (2/9/2021).

“So we cannot clearly convey what the pain is. Because the disease is sensitive. The most important thing is that from the doctor’s statement and the treatment, Soni Eranata’s brother is sensitive, which can tarnish the good name of the family if we mention it here. ” “Argo said.

Argo said the police also confirmed that they had obtained a medical record of the treatment of Maheer At-Thuwailibi aka Soni Eranata prior to her death.

The existence of the medical records of this treatment also denies that the Police did not give Maaher space to receive treatment when he was ill in the Criminal Investigation Unit.

Before dying, Argo stated that Maaher had been abandoned for treatment at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital in East Jakarta. Maaher received treatment for seven days.

Argo added that Maaher received the same care and services as other patients when he was treated at the Police Hospital.

“We have done it and we have a letter requesting investigators from the Bhayangkara Police Hospital. What is it for? For treatment,” Argo said.
