Jakarta –
The KM 122 Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) toll road to Jakarta collapsed. This condition causes vehicle traffic to get stuck.
The president of the Indonesian Logistics Association (ALI), Zaldy Masita, said that the impact of the collapse of the Cipali toll road would be very severe. This is because Jalan Pantura is currently also covered by floods.
“The impact is very severe because access to Pantura is also closed due to flooding, and the only road connecting West Java with Central Java is the Cipali toll road and it turns out that the Cipali toll road 1 has collapsed,” said. detikcom, Tuesday (2/9/2021).
He said this would disrupt all distribution of goods in Java. He said that more than 90% of logistics access uses land, that is, trucks. “There was a serious traffic jam on the Cipali toll road and this interrupted all the distribution of goods in Java, where more than 90% were overland, ie trucks,” he said.
According to him, if this is not resolved immediately, the flow of goods in Java could stall. In addition, access to trains is also cut off in Semarang.
He said the government must solve the problem immediately. He also asked the government to activate the sea route to replace the cut land routes.
“If this matter is not resolved immediately by the government, the flow of goods in Java could be paralyzed, because the railway line was also cut in Semarang because the station and the train tracks were flooded,” he said.
“The government needs to immediately activate the maritime route for the transport of goods to replace the broken land route (Cipali Toll),” he explained.
