The Regional Agency for Disaster Management (BPBD) of the city of Semarang noted that today 76 urban villages were affected by the floods in Semarang, Central Java. A resident died of electric shock during a flood.
“There are approximately 76 sub-districts (submerged in floods),” Semarang City Secretary BPBD Winarsono said in a short message to reporters on Saturday (6/2/2021).
Floods occurred in various areas in 10 sub-districts, namely the Tugu, Western Semarang, North Semarang, Central Semarang, South Semarang, Ngaliyan, Pedurungan, East Semarang, Gayamsari and Genuk districts.
In addition to the floods, landslides also occurred at various locations in Semarang. Among them in Genuk Krajan, Jomblang, Tegalsari, Candisari district, some even caused the death of a victim and a wanted person.
