A fatal accident involving a motorcycle and a car occurred in Jl Raden Saleh, Ciledug, Tangerang. The victim, a motorist named Ribut Mahardani, died as a result of the accident.
The victim was rushed to 3 hospitals in Tangerang, but was turned away here and there. The victim later became critical and died at EMC Cipondoh Hospital.
This incident went viral on social media. In the viral video it is narrated that the victim died after being rejected by 3 hospitals.
Kanit Laka Satlantas Metro Tangerang City Police AKP Badruzzaman confirmed the incident. Badruzzaman explained that the conditions of the three emergency rooms of the hospital that the victim visited were full.
“Because the hospitals are full, because the hospital is a referral for COVID-19, so if you don’t know what COVID-19 is, all kinds of things get mixed up, right? If I ask one of the hospitals. Finally. (treated) at EMC Cipondoh Hospital, “Badruzzaman said when contacted on Friday (2/5/2021).
The accident happened to the victim on Thursday (2/4) at 0230 WIB. Initially, a Proton car driven by Sl had just left the Karang Tengah gas station in the direction of Ciledug. At the same time, Ribut Mahardani and Cecep Hermansah drove on Jalan Raden Saleh near the Karang Tengah gas station in the direction of Ciledug.
The victim fell after being hit by a car. Meanwhile, the driver of the car at the time had escaped after hitting the victim.
The perpetrators submit
The perpetrator with the initials SI fled after the incident. But on Friday (2/5) morning, the perpetrator finally turned himself in.
“Upon delivery, I was insured this morning,” said Tangerang Metropolitan Police Traffic Police Chief AKP Badruzzaman when confirmed on Friday (5/2/2021).
Badruzzaman said the driver of the car was being questioned. After that, the crime scene will be processed to determine who was negligent in the accident.
“Yes, now they are asking me for information at the BAP. Wait for the results of the investigation, the crime scene process, presumably because of whose negligence we will prosecute and title the case,” Badruzzaman said.
