Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

The virtual world becomes bustling after a viral video of a woman doing aerobics using a song Ampun Bang Jago against the backdrop of Myanmar’s military coup.

Several netizens expressed their pride that the Indonesian song was widely known in foreign countries.

“Eventually, the world at large will know the greatness of Ampun Bang Jago,” said one citizen.

There are also those who try to explain the title of the song along with the creator and the meaning of the phrase “geez bang jago” in English.

“The song used by an Indonesian song is titled Ampun Bang Jago. A rough translation, ‘Please forgive me, strong man,'” wrote the netizen.

“The song is Ampun Bang Jago – Tian Storm x Ever Slkr. This is amazing,” wrote another citizen.

With so many netizens commenting on this video, the phrase “Ammo Bang Jago” has become a trending topic on Twitter in Indonesia.

The video, showing a woman doing aerobics in Myanmar, has suddenly gone viral since it was uploaded on Monday (1/2), when a military coup was taking place in Myanmar.

The 1.49-minute video shows the backdrop of the main road leading to the parliament building in Naypyidaw, where the army prepares to move. The video caught the attention of netizens because it used the song Ampun Bang Jago.

The song is the brainchild of Jonathan Dorongpangalo, aka Tian Storm and Everly Salikara, aka Everslkr. They both come from Bitung, North Sulawesi.

Forgiveness Bang Jago is an innuendo for people who put others down and feel more righteous. This song was created based on his personal experience.

In the North Sulawesi area, the music that is transmitted in the song Ampun Bang Jago is called land disco. The term refers to the habit of neighbors that they often dance in open spaces at events as long as there is a sound system.

Geez Bang Jago skyrocketed after TikTok social media account users frequently used it as a background song for dancing.
