Liverpool –
Ozan Kabak was very lucky. Not having to fight to avoid relegation in the Bundesliga, Kabak joined Premier League champions Liverpool.
Kabak has just made his transfer to Liverpool inaugurated on Tuesday (2/2/2021) at the WIB in the morning, after reaching a loan agreement with Schalke 04 until the end of the season.
Later, Kabak can be permanent with a £ 18 million tag if his performance is satisfactory. Liverpool’s decision to borrow from Kabak was later questioned considering that the player’s performance throughout this season was somewhat unusual.
The reason is that Kabak could not fight to move Schalke away from the Bundesliga interim job since the beginning of the season. Kabak and his teammates behind are responsible for 49 goals in Schalke’s goal in 19 games.
Schalke have conceded the most goals and the fewest goals in the Bundesliga this season. Additionally, Kabak also struggled this season when he was suspended for four games for spitting at an opposing player.
Liverpool, who need the right figure to overcome the bottom line crisis, deserve to be concerned about Kabak’s performance this season. Not to mention, before Kabak appeared at Schalke, he played for Stuttgart in January 2019.
Despite being lined up as the best young player in the Bundesliga for the 2018/2019 season, Kabak failed to make Stuttgart survive and had to be relegated. Only then did Kabak move to Schalke.
Now the fate of Kabak has changed 180 degrees. The player from Turkey is officially wearing the red and red uniform, one of the biggest teams in the Premier League that needs a new force on its back.
A tough task awaits Ozan Kabak, can he bear it? We will wait.
