Liverpool officially announced its two new players on the market this winter. Both Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak are defensive positions.
The arrival of the two new players was announced by Liverpool on the club’s official website, on Tuesday (2/2/2021) on the morning of the WIB. The two advocates were previously linked with a move to Anfield prior to the January 2021 stock market close.
Davies was hired from the Preston North End club for a fee of 2 million pounds (38.3 billion rupees) and was tied to a long-term contract with Liverpool. The 25-year-old will wear jersey number 28 in The Reds.
Ben Davies said he was happy to join a club as big as Liverpool. You also don’t want to miss out on the chance to play with other top players in the Premier League champions club.
“I’m obviously happy to be here. It’s a great opportunity,” Davies said after being announced as a new Liverpool player.
“Obviously this was a surprise when (it appeared) but once you start thinking about it, the opportunities that I have in front of me are incredible. It would be ridiculous not to make the most of them and learn from the players (at the club),” he said.
Shortly after the announcement of the Davies purchase, Liverpool announced another new player. This time it was Kabak’s turn to be officially brought to Anfield.
Liverpool brought Kabak on loan from Schalke 04. The Turkish player is under contract until the end of this season.
Ozan Kabak will wear jersey number 19. The number previously belonged to Liverpool forward Sadio Mane.
