Minister of Labor Ida Fauziyah said the government did not continue to provide direct cash assistance (BLT) subsidies salary or wages in 2021. It states that the estimated BLT wage for salaried workers below Rs 5 crore is not estimated in APBN 2021.

“We continue to wait, while effectively the 2021 State Budget has not been allocated or has not been allocated. Later we will see what the next economic condition will be like, but it is not allocated in the 2021 State Budget,” Ida said in a recording. distributed by the Office of Public Relations of the Ministry of Labor.
However, Ida said that some assistance programs for workers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic will continue this year. Although she did not specify the program in detail, Ida said the program will continue until normal economic conditions return.
The reason is that the Covid-19 pandemic has raised the number of unemployed to 9.77 by August 2020. Therefore, according to him, government programs are needed to help workers who have lost their jobs.
“Some of these programs will continue until conditions return to normal, which aim to cope with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic,” he explained.

Ida said the government had not yet disbursed BLT for workers earning less than 5 million rupees to 270,489 potential beneficiaries. The number is made up of 110,762 workers in the first period and 159,727 workers in the second period.
“Why is it not distributed 100 percent? We can explain, there are several reasons why it has not been distributed,” he said in a working meeting with Commission IX of the DPR.
Meanwhile, the government has channeled BLT to 12.29 million workers in the first term. So the total number of workers who received BLT in the second term was 12.24 million people.
From the budget side, the total funds disbursed were 29.44 trillion rupees or 98.91 percent of the target of 29.76 trillion rupees. It consists of IDR 14.75 trillion in the first term and IDR 14.69 trillion in the second term.
