Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) held the commanders call or a special leadership meeting with DPD and DPC party leaders. AHY said there was a movement to forcibly seize the Democratic Party by the circle of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

“We consider it necessary and important to provide an official explanation about the real sit-in, namely the existence of a political movement that has led to a forced takeover of the Democratic Party that certainly threatens the sovereignty and existence of the Democratic Party,” he added. AHY admitted to having heard several testimonies related to this political movement. According to AHY, the testimony stated that people in President Jokowi’s closest circle of power were involved.
“According to the testimonies and testimonies from many parties that we have received, this movement involves important government officials who are functionally within the circle of power closest to President Joko Widodo,” said Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono.
AHY said that the testimony of this political movement also mentioned the support of several ministers.
“Furthermore, this movement is said to have also received the support of various ministers and senior officials in the administration of President Joko Widodo,” he explained.
AHY admitted to having prioritized the presumption of innocence in this matter. Therefore, AHY wrote to President Jokowi.
“Therefore, this morning I officially sent a letter to the Honorable Mr. President Joko Widodo to obtain his confirmation and clarification as to the veracity of the news we received,” AHY said.
