jpnn.com, PADANG – The family of Deki Susanto, a victim who was shot by a police officer until he died on Wednesday (27/1) in South Solok, West Sumatra (West Sumatra), denied injuring an officer when he was at about to be arrested. .
The director of the Indonesian Movement Legal Aid Institute (LBH), Guntur Abdurrahman, said the rebuttal was based on the statement of Deki Susanto’s wife, who witnessed the incident at the scene when the arrest took place.
“We deny the police statement that Deki, as a victim of this incident, was shot for fighting and wounding the officer when he was about to be arrested,” said Indonesian Movement Legal Aid Institute (LBH) director Guntur Abdurrahman, in Padang, Friday (29/1).
Deki’s arrest is known because it is a wanted list (DPO) for suspected gambling.
Based on the family version, it is known that the incident began when several people who were later discovered by the police arrived at the house without official uniforms and carrying firearms.
“The perpetrator (police, red) suddenly entered the house and looked for the victim, at that time the victim was in the kitchen area of the house,” he said.
When he found the victim, he continued, armed police immediately attacked the victim without showing identification or a warrant.
His party claimed that because he felt threatened and feared a firearm would be pointed at him, the victim Deki ran to the back of the house.
