The question mark still surrounds the discovery of Chinese-style missile-like objects in the Anambas Islands, Riau Islands. The item is now being brought in for inspection by the TNI AL Center for Hydrography and Oceanography (Pushidrosal).
The blue object with various Chinese inscriptions was found by a fisherman named Ain and his son, Aris, on the beach in the local area, around 3:30 p.m. WIB, Tuesday (1/19/2021). Ain said it was the first time he had seen this thing.
“This is the first time I’ve seen this object. So I don’t know the name of the tool,” Ain said, on Wednesday (1/20), as reported. Between.
Another resident, Hendriyano, claimed that the object was 1.5 meters long and weighed 25 kg. He said residents immediately informed authorities about the discovery of the object.
“It is estimated to weigh 25 kilograms with a length of 1.5 meters,” Hendriyano said.
Insured by the Indonesian Navy
The missile-like object was secured by Lanal Tarempa. Danlanal Tarempa, Lieutenant Colonel (P) Efran Indra, said that the object was evacuated to eliminate the discomfort of the residents.
“The missile-like object has been secured at Lanal Tarempa. This is to ease the concern of residents who are concerned,” Efran said when asked for confirmation on Thursday (1/21/2021).
He has not yet explained what exactly the found object was. Efran said his party is still waiting for experts to identify them.
“For identification, we are waiting for an expert. Take the time to study it,” Efran said.
Pushidrosal investigated
Lanal Tarempa’s group sent the missile-like object with Chinese characters to the Hydrographic and Oceanographic Center of the Indonesian Navy (Pushidrosal). The object was sent for investigation.
“It was dispatched yesterday at 3pm WIB from Lanal Tarempa using the KRI,” said Indonesian Navy Information Service Chief (Kadispenal) Laksma TNI Julius Widjojono, Friday (1/22/2021).
The missile-like object will be investigated by experts. Julius cannot confirm if the object is the same as glider found in Selayar waters, South Sulawesi (Sulsel), some time ago or not.
“The experts will respond later,” Laksma Julius said.
