JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government decided to extend the imposition of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) in Java-Bali. The PPKM is extended for 14 days, from January 26 to February 8, 2021.
Meanwhile, the first PPKM period will end on Monday (1/25/2021).
“The president requested that the restriction of community activities be continued,” said the coordinating minister of the Economy, Airlangga Hartarto, in giving a press release, quoted from the YouTube channel of the Presidential Secretariat, on Thursday (21 / 1/2021).

PPKM’s target areas remain the same, namely DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, and Bali.
However, there are differences in the regulations that will apply during the PPKM extension period. The operating time of shopping centers, shopping centers and restaurants was extended by one hour.
In the first period of PPKM, the operations of shopping centers, malls and restaurants were limited to 7:00 p.m. local time.
“In this PPKM (extension) the hours of operation are open until 8:00 p.m. local time,” said Airlangga.
Airlangga said that the difference in these rules was due to conditions in several areas where Covid-19 transmission cases had started to tilt.
“Because there are some areas that are somewhat flat then this is changed until 8 pm, “added Airlangga.

Meanwhile, other rules have not changed. Companies must implement work from home (Work from home) to 75 percent of employees.
Then teaching and learning activities are still done online.
Restaurants can only eat on the premises (Dine in) with a maximum capacity limit of 25 percent. Take away food ordering system (to carry out) is still allowed.
The rules related to activities in places of worship have also not changed, that is, a capacity limit of 50 percent.
“The essential sector, including industry, can still operate 100 percent. Public facilities are closed and transportation is regulated by each regional government,” Airlangga said.
