jpnn.com, MEDAN – A woman named Widia Wati, 24, died when she was trapped in an elevator in the showroom where PT RPM works, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra.
Local police are conducting an investigation into the tragic incident.
“The case is still under investigation,” Kapolsek Tanjung Morawa AKP Sawangin said on Monday (1/18).
He said the incident happened on Saturday (1/16) around 4:00 PM WIB.
Police only received information about the incident on Sunday (1/17).
Eyewitness accounts whose testimony was taken indicated that the victim’s head was trapped in the elevator of the showroom, causing serious injuries to the jaw and neck.
The residents then took the victim to Grand Medistra General Hospital, Lubuk Pakam.
