JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – A upload from a PT PLN (Persero) customer who experienced an increase in electricity bills of 68 million rupees was widely discussed on social media a few days ago.
The post was written by a Twitter account called @melaniepucchino who complained about the increased bill to PLN, even though you generally only need to pay IDR 500,000 – IDR 700,000 each month.
Responding to this, PLN’s Director of Commerce and Customer Management, Bob Saril, said that the increase was due to an indication of a mismatch in the results of the Electricity Consumption Control (P2TL), which resulted in a violation of category P2 with the amount of the supplementary invoice (TS) in accordance with the regulations.
A violation of P2 is a violation that affects the energy metering.
According to him, the meter used by the customer has been drawn up by unscrupulous people not to calculate electricity consumption.
“The house in question was hit by P2TL. There are meters, it seemstreatment not to measure, ”he told Kompas.com on Monday (1/18/2021).

Bob further explained that his group had carried out a test of the electricity meter in PLN’s laboratory, witnessed directly by the customer in question.
The test results show that on the corresponding power meter there is a jumper wire across the input and output current terminals.
“According to the test results, the client explained that there was a violation in category P2 violation with TS P2TL amounting to Rp 68,051,521,” he said.
With these findings, Bob denied the customer’s statement, concerned that he had been blackmailed by PLN.
Bob claims that his party has carried out good corporate governance or good corporate governance (GCG).
“And every year we are vetted by BPK and KAP,” he said.
