Indonesian mixed doubles pair, Praveen Jordan / Melati Daeva Oktavianti, posing in the semi-finals
BOLASPORT.COM – Indonesia sent two representatives to the final round of the 2021 Thailand Open tournament that took place from January 12 to 17.
The defeat of Anthony Sinisuka Ginting (men’s singles) of Viktor Axelsen (Denmark) ensures that Indonesia has Praveen Jordan / Melati Daeva Oktavianti (mixed doubles) and Greysia Polii / Apriyani Rahayu (women’s doubles) in the top match.
Anthony Sinisuka Ginting lost after going through a close duel against Axelsen in a 63-minute match at Impact Arena, Bangkok on Saturday (1/16/2021).

Through this loss, Axelsen improved his record for encounters with Anthony to 3-4, still to Anthony’s advantage.
Praveen / Melati became the first Indonesian representatives to advance to the final round. Praveen / Melati managed to revive hom Gicquel / Delphine Delrue (France) after 46 minutes of fighting.
At the beginning of the first game, the two pairs of players take turns to score points.
Through cross blows, Melati further strengthened Indonesia with a score of 18-14.
The Praveen / Melati lead continued until they closed the first game with a win after the Gicquel crush went wide.
In the second game, France took the lead leaving Indonesia 0-2.
