“The Indonesian Navy dive team found a Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 turbine piece that was previously searched using KRI Rigel’s three-dimensional sonar,” Orri said at JICT 2 Tanjung Priok port, Jakarta on Sunday night. .

The Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 turbine was evacuated from the bottom of the waters around Lacang Island and Male Island, thousand islands, at a depth of 17-20 meters. After the turbine was found, TNI’s diver team handed it over to KRI Cucut, then KRI Cucut took it away and handed it over to JICT 2.
Subsequently, the turbine was handed over to the DVI team of the National Police Headquarters and the National Transportation Security Commission (KNKT).
The DVI team at police headquarters and the NTSC had identified the findings from the turbine from the Sriwijaya Air plane.
The Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 aircraft lost contact between Laki Island and Lancang Island on Saturday around 2:40 p.m. WIB or 4 minutes after taking off from Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang.
The plane was carrying 62 people consisting of 6 crew members, 46 adult passengers, seven children and three babies.

The Sriwijaya Air plane had left the route to the northwest at 2:40 p.m. The air traffic controller (ATC) then asked the pilot about the flight direction of the plane. However, in a matter of seconds, the plane lost contact.
In a search this Sunday, the SAR team found parts of the plane, including fragments of aircraft tires, passenger buoys, aircraft electrical parts, blue-red fuselage parts, aircraft muzzles and other aircraft parts.
Debris from the Sriwijaya Air plane was found at a depth of about 15-20 meters around the Lancang and Male islands.
The joint SAR team also found many human remains that were suspected of being Sriwijaya Air passengers.
