Inda said that after sunset she received news from her brother-in-law, Ari Kartini, that her younger brother was boarding the Sriwijaya SJ182 plane that crashed in the waters of the Thousand Islands. His brother, according to his brother-in-law, Ari, boarded the plane to catch the plane in Pontianak, West Kalimantan.
“His wife tearfully informed me that my brother was traveling by Sriwijaya to Pontianak to catch a Nam Air plane in Pontianak,” he explained.
Inda said her sister had five children from her marriage to Ari, a flight attendant for Lampung’s Pelita Air. Didik, Inda said, had children under the age of five.
“There are five children. The fifth child is Saka Gurnardi, a 2.5-year-old boy. The eldest is Prisilia who has become a general practitioner, the second child Berlinada (18) is still in college, the third child Mesiya is still he is in high school and the fourth child Nafisa is still in the second grade of primary school, “he explained.
Inda remembers that her younger brother was a smart figure since he was little. Since he was young, Didik has passed on his dream of becoming a pilot.
“He is different from my (other) brothers, he is intelligent. The desire to be a pilot has been a since childhood. In fact, to the point that his room was drawn by a Merpati plane,” he said.
The dream of becoming a pilot came true. Didik even worked for the airline that he painted as a child.
“He started his aviation career in Merpati. After school, due to his condition, he moved to Nam Air. Although he still felt at home in Merpati, because the one that sent my younger brother Merpati to school”, Inda said.
