DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan imposed strict Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) from Monday January 11 to January 25, 2021. The office or workplace sector is capped at 75% Work from home (FMH).

This decision is regulated by Anies in Governor’s Decree Number 19 of 2021 and Governor’s Regulation Number 3 of 2021. The strict PSBB from January 11 to 25, 2021 is a follow-up of the direction of the central government.

“These are the fundamental principles. The workplace will impose a 75 percent restriction on work at home,” Anies said at a press conference broadcast live on YouTube on Saturday (9/1/2021).

The remaining 25 percent, Anies continued, may work in an office or work from the office (WFO). This rule applies to offices or workplaces that are privately owned, BUMN / BUMD, as well as offices of government agencies.

“So the second thing is that teaching and learning is still done remotely,” Anies said.

Meanwhile, Anies continued, essential sectors could function 100 percent through strict implementation of health protocols. These essential sectors include the health, food, energy, finance and banking sectors.

“The shopping center continued to be able to carry out activities, but until 7:00 pm WIB,” explained Anies.

Anies explained that the decision to toughen up the PSBB was based on the background of the COVID-19 situation in Jakarta in recent times, which has tended to be concerning. Currently, DKI Jakarta is at the peak of active cases, namely 17,383. The active cases themselves are the number of people who are currently positive for COVID-19 and have not yet been declared cured, whether they are being treated in health facilities or in independent isolation.
