They are Komjen Gatot Edy Pramono, Komjen Boy Rafly Amar, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Komjen Arief Sulistyanto and Komjen Agus Andrianto. “The five individuals are considered to have met the requirements of professionalism, loyalty and flight hours,” wrote coordinating minister Mahfud MD on Friday, January 8, 2021.
Earlier, the coordinating minister Mahfud Md stated that he had submitted the names of the candidates to the head of the National Police replacing General Idham Azis to President Joko Widodo or Jokowi.
“As president of the National Police, I have submitted the names of the candidates for the head of the National Police who will be selected by the president to be presented to the DPR,” Mahfud said in a tweet on his Twitter account on Friday the 8th. January 2021.
Mahfud said that the names presented were 3-star generals. “None of them are still 2-star,” he said.
The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) previously said that the names of the candidates for chief of the National Police were handed over to Jokowi. National Police Commissioner Albertus Wahyurudhanto said the names were submitted by Mahfud Md.
“The name was presented yesterday (Thursday, January 7), so it is now in the hands of the president. It is up to the president to choose,” Wahyu told Tempo on Friday, January 8, 2021.
