Trump’s social media account is temporarily blocked, here’s why

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Several United States (US) social media management companies, such as Twitter Inc, Facebook Inc and Snap Inc, have temporarily frozen (suspended) the accounts of US President Donald Trump during the riots at the US Parliament Building, Capitol Hill in Washington DC.

The demonstration against the appointment of the president-elect of the United States, Joe Biden, by Congress was apparently anarchist. Crowds of Trump supporters tried to enter the parliament building and sparked a gun riot on Wednesday (6/1/2021).

Twitter then concealed and ordered the removal of three of Trump’s tweets, as a result of the unprecedented and ongoing violent situation in Washington DC after pro-Trump protesters stormed the Capitol.

in a cheep on Wednesday, later removed by Twitter, Trump said the raid on the central government building was a natural response. He also blamed Vice President Mike Pence for not having the courage to file allegations of voter fraud.

Twitter also blocked Trump’s account for up to 12 hours after he deleted it. cheep and a video of Trump accusing the presidential election of manipulating and urging protesters to return home.

However, although cheep Trump was not removed, but the account will remain locked.

Google Alphabet’s Facebook and YouTube platforms also removed the video. Facebook also blocked Trump’s account upload care or been in the last 24 hours.
