WASHINGTON DC, KOMPAS.com – A woman who died in a riot on Capitol Hill, Washington DC, is known to be a hardline supporter of President Donald Trump.
Additionally, Washington police admitted that the woman identified as Ashli Babbitt was shot by her members.
In a video circulating on the internet, Babbitt can be seen climbing through one of the Capitol windows on Wednesday afternoon local time (6/1/2020).

Not long after, a camera shot was heard aimed at Babbitt, who was lying covered in blood.
He was rushed to hospital and declared dead a few hours later from the gunshot to the chest.
Reported AFP On Thursday (7/1/2020), the police stated that the bullets that had penetrated Ashli Babbitt’s chest came from her limbs.
According to US media reports, Babbitt is known to be a hardliner of President Trump and a former Air Force soldier.
Babbitt’s identity was confirmed by his brother-in-law, Justin Jackson, who had contact with the Washington Police.

“He loves this country and is very honored to have served with the United States Army. Please pray and respect our privacy,” Jackson said.

Local television channel KUSI quoted Babbitt’s husband as reporting that the woman identified herself as a veteran on Twitter.
Before he was shot and killed, he tweeted his support for the crowd who wanted to move to the Capitol.
“Nothing will stop us. You can try to stop us. But we will move on. From darkness to light!” he said.
Babbitt’s mother-in-law revealed that her son-in-law had left with other supporters of the headline without her husband.
“I have no idea why he did that,” the mother-in-law told local San Diego media.

Additionally, Washington Police Chief Robert Contee said there were three other victims killed in the riot demonstration.
However, he did not mention whether the woman and the two men who died had anything to do with the riots.
“All three appear to have had a medical emergency that resulted in their deaths,” Contee told a news conference.
He continued, his ranks detained a total of 52 people, of whom 26 were arrested around the Capitol.
Contee said they were charged with violating curfews, breaking and entering and possessing illegal weapons.
A total of 14 policemen were reported to have been injured, one of whom was in very poor condition due to being pushed and beaten by the mob.
Contee also said that two tube bombs were found in the Capitol building, in the Republican and Democratic offices respectively.
