jpnn.com, PALU – The rejection of government policies that will stop the hiring of civil servants is increasingly widespread.
More recently, the National Awakening Party (PKB) faction in Palu City DPRD also voiced opposition to the plan to eliminate the civil servant teacher trainings that will begin in this year’s CPNS selection.
If PNS teacher recruitment is stopped, when the time comes, all ASN teachers will only have PPPK status. There are no more PNS teachers.
“There is no reason not to reject it because there is concern that this policy will reduce the quality and quantity of teachers in the future,” said the head of the PKB faction in Palu City Nanang in Palu on Monday (4 / 1).
Nanang explained that based on Law No. 5 of 2014 on ASN, there is a fundamental difference between civil servants and Government Officials with the Labor Agreement (PPPK) as promised by BKN.
This regulation establishes that the officials who have been appointed shall cease only if they have reached the retirement age, died, retired early or are in a situation of physical and mental disability.
“Meanwhile, PPPK is appointed and employed under contract according to the stipulated term, so if the specified contract period has been completed, PPPK can simply be terminated,” he said.
Nanang worries that the plan could reduce the interest of the younger generation in Indonesia in choosing a profession as an educator.
