This telegram was passed to Kapolda and the Head of Public Relations of Polda throughout Indonesia regarding the Declaration of the Chief of Police number Mak / 1 / I / 2021 on the fulfillment of the prohibition of activities, the use of symbols and attributes and the termination of the activities of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI).
The telegram with the number ST / 1 / I / HUM.3.4.5. / 2021 to (4/1) signed by the Chief of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono.
Argo also allowed the telegram.
“That’s right (the telegram),” Argo said when confirmed.
The objective of this telegram is to straighten information related to information points that do not even provoke controversy with the media.
In the telegram, it was explained that the emphasis of the Declaration of the Chief of Police was on point 2D that says ‘The public does not access, upload or disseminate content related to FPI or through websites or social networks’.
That the telegram asked all the police so that the information from point 2D does not offend the media. So, as long as it complies with the code of ethics for journalism, the media and the editorial press protected by the Press Law, freedom of opinion remains constitutionally guaranteed.
